Sara + Josh at Guastavino’s

Sara and Josh are such a stunning couple. They got married on the day NYC battened down the hatches in preparation for hurricane Irene. The looming weather did nothing to dampen their mood and the wedding was perfect. Due to the uncertainty of the airports, bridges and tunnels, many guests were unable to attend this fabulous cerebration. But they still had 200 brave guests who partied on! Here is their highlight reel for those who could not make it. Sara and Josh wrote such wonderful vows to each other…

Lucy + Jason at Metropolitan Building

At Lucy and Jason’s wedding, you’d feel like as if you were in Alice in Wonderland or a Tim Burton film. Jason studied theater, so it makes sense! Their full length movie came out beautifully. It’s full of funny (I mean, really funny) and touching moments. And the whole atmosphere and details of the wedding were dreamy. It’s a British tradition for grooms to make a toast at their wedding -Jason read the great essay (and also was the longest speech in the British history, according to Lucy’s sister) so I had to use some of it for the highlight reel. Dj sampled a part of the speech and started to play it as Jason finished his speech. It was so funny!

Audrey & Vijay at Hindu Temple Society of North America & The Garden City Hotel

Audrey and Vijay met each other in 1997 while attending Columbia University. Over a decade, they were just friends and a few years ago, they finally started dating. It was so nice to see that almost everybody in the bridal party were friends from the collage days. One of their friends said in her speech, “With over 14 years of friendship behind them, these two are prepared for anything.”

I spent 2 days with Audrey and Vijay – their fabulous wedding involved many venues and wardrobe changes! The Indian wedding ceremony was held at Hindu Temple Society of North America. The Chinese tea ceremony and reception were at The Garden City Hotel. Their photographer Monika Broz is definitely one of my favorite photographers in NYC. Here is the photos of Audrey and Vijay by Monika!

Jennifer + Warren at Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts

Jennifer and Warren’s wedding was one of the most memorable weddings of the year for me. The venue, Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts is such a gorgeous place. The whole day was very dramatic because of the weather. The day started out with the perfect blue sky. Please listen to the best man toast in the video – Plan #1 outside garden ceremony couldn’t proceed because of the sudden heavy rain. As soon as the ceremony was over, the sky cleared up and the sun shined through. But as the best man said, there was a vibe in the air that whatever happens, everyone’s going to have the best time ever. It was very true. It was such a beautiful day.

After receiving the video, Jennifer wrote me

“We just finished watching the wedding DVD. Both Warren and I are extremely happy and impressed with it. You did an extraordinary job with the footage. I don’t have professional terminologies, but the way you mixed the scenes and matched the music, the entire editing was so wonderful. We could totally understand why you took much time to complete it and we can’t thank you enough. The entire beautiful memories came back all together and this will be something we will keep for lifetime to watch over and over again. The copies are already mailed out to our parents to L.A. and Korea. I’m sure they will cry and laugh watching it too. I will share their feedback too once I hear back from them. Thank you very much for the beautiful work again. ”

This kind of response makes me SO happy. Thank you Jennifer and Warren!

GREAT JOB! to the coordinator Nerissa from Private Reception. And the amazing photographer Roey Yohai. His work is beautiful.

Erica & Roman at Roslyn Country Club

2011 is passing by so quickly. I just shot my last wedding of the year. I will be in my studio all winter editing the awesome footage I got!
Between now and the new year, I will be finally positing a lot of video from 2011!!
Here’s one. Erica and Roman suggested to incorporate photographs from their childhood into their highlight reel. So here it is. Erica has such lovely smiles all the time. Try to count how many of her laughs you can find in this video:) Erica and Roman came over to my studio the other day. They told me that they were BLOWN AWAY by the video. It makes me so happy! As you see in the video, they have such a cute Shiba dog. I have a passion for Shiba dog – so we chit chat for a few hours :)

Roman and Erica chose such an excellent photographer Jami Saunders. Their photos can be found in Jami’s Blog.

Erika & Marc at the Gotham Hall, NYC

Here’s the highlight reel of Erika and Marc’s wedding at Gotham Hall. Erika and Marc were gracious, gorgeous and I’ll say it, “Stunning!” I want to thank Erika’s mother, Sharon, for doing such a wonderful job as a wedding coordinator. It was a pleasure to capture this beautiful wedding. Erika’s dress was stunning, said it again, and Marc was dapper indeed. Gotham Hall is an excellent venue for a Jewish wedding, as the stomping of the glass is more of a BOOM, BAM and POW! I didn’t need any special effect to amplify the sound…. again STUNNING.

Awesome vendors for this wedding:
Photographer: Francesco Mastalia
Band: Uptown Mix of Vali Entertainment
Flowers:  Dianna Gould
